Guilty pleasures...

Latest guilty pleasure...

The Bachelor.

Confession: It's weird and I would have never thought in a million years, but I follow it religiously every Monday night. Watching it this very moment.

To my future discovery...

Don't you wish you came up with that idea? It's always, "Damn, why didn't I think of that?"

Inspiration. I need something clever.

For now, thanks for keeping me company. In awe!

Confession: Whoops.

Irresistible or Addicting?

Those little devil starch balls. We have a love-hate relationship. A cup of tapioca milk tea or boba tea is just under 300 calories. Then again, if you go to Starbucks and order a fancy drink, just about the same amount of calories.

Tapioca milk tea is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. Sometimes, an addiction. I just can never seem to get enough of it!! I'm always on a mission to find the best. Now that I'm in Vancouver, basically a Chinatown, soooo much! Don't worry, haven't had too much of it!

Then again, maybe it's just this whole childhood again. Some people give McDonald's as a treat growing up, I guess I got bubble tea. Haha, who am I kidding, I had McDonald's too. Lol. Anyway, maybe I love it so much because it brings me back to my childhood. Going out on a bubble tea trip with my aunt during my summer visit to Canada. Growing up, they didn't have bubble tea in China.

Anyway, being the picky bubble tea lover, it's really mostly about the tea. The bubbles, not too hard to make. If I can do it, you can do it. The tea, needs perfection. BBT Cafe, a lil cute Taiwanese restaurant my sister brought me too, has QUITE the delicious bubble tea. More posts about BBT Cafe coming...

Confession: Oh no, how could I forget a "confession" on my last post!! Must do: NOW!!

Day #18 of Unemployment

So in the spirit of the winter season and unemployment, today, I made an art piece.

There hasn't been much cooking on my side, but tonsss of eating!! My sister brought my fam and I to this cute lil place, The Secret Garden. Check it out!

Aaaandddd....let the food adventures begin!!!!

Welcome Real Life

2011 is just around the corner. By that, I mean 3hours and 59minutes away. (As of now).

New year, new changes.
I have now graduated from college. Yaaay for me.
Welcome Real Life.
I moved to Vancouver B.C. a week and a half ago. I'm currently in search of a job. I've already been on one interview, it was a success, but the job wasn't what I was looking for. Great interview experience though.

Until I find my own place, there will be no cooking posts. Well, I do have one in my archive, so that will be posted at some point. I'd like to change my focus to some sort of hobby. Something inexpensive, but still productive. On the side, I have also started some self-improvement. In the past three days, I've been on two runs. Today, I ran 7km. Slightly impressed with myself considering that I thought I couldn't even run a mile. The Biggest Loser scared me a little.

Speaking of, THRILLED for its next season. January 4th.

I'm sad to leave Boston and my life behind, but time to look forward. Yesterday, I went to check out Christmas lights. There's a 'Trinity Street Christmas Light Competition.' Quite amazing. Below are some photos. They were more gorgeous in the moment. I took these on my camera phone.

There were so many cars on the street, driving by, so I was in a rush. Didn't think to take the photo horizontally. Instead, I took two photos. I wanted to include the globe all the way on the right, but still wanted to include all the reindeers and threes on the left side of the law. The reindeers even moved!!!

Oooh nooo. The santa fell. Disqualified? Haha, joking!

So cute! Two snowmen hugging!

Loved this set up with the Santa and the globe

Confession: I don't really have a New Year's resolution yet. Sort of focused on the short term. Starting my life. On my own two feet!! Well, once I get my own place, I think it'd be fun to start posting videos of myself cooking.

I wish you a happy, Happy New Year!
